Kenteska Plantation
One of our favorite places to spend our free time is at our “farm”. It is named Kenteska Plantation after our three children: Kennedie, Tess, and Kade. It is located in Hurtsboro, Alabama, approximately two hours south of Atlanta.
Located on 780 acres, there are two lake-front custom built log cabins. The smaller 1200 square foot cabin is perfect for a romantic weekend getaway. The larger 6500 square foot cabin is wonderful for a family retreat or a large event. It has three bedrooms and a bunkhouse and can sleep fifteen comfortably. The covered pavilion with large brick fire pit sits in between the two cabins. Other amenities include a lighted fishing pier, boathouse, and old country store.
Fishing is a must while at the farm. There is a stocked catfish pond and a 14 acre lake that holds bass and bream. Just a few months ago, a 10 pound 11 ounce large mouth bass was caught and released back into the lake!
Some of the local residents living at the farm include two horses - Johnny and Red, two donkeys - Shrek and Donkey, and several cows and chickens.
The farm is the perfect location for several types of events:
- Weddings
- Dinner parties
- Corporate gatherings
- School functions
- Team parties
- Family getaways
Depending on the season, guests can enjoy:
- Guided Quail, Turkey, and Deer hunts
- Dove Shoots
- Fishing
- Four-wheeling
- Paintball
- Horseshoes
- Making Smores by the fire
Not only will you make wonderful memories, but the proceeds will benefit the Hudson Family Foundation.
